Guest ckmoss01
Hi Guys: Does anyone know of a front strutbar one could install with a V8 Conversion (JTR)? MSA has a strutbar, but it would interfere with the air cleaner on my 350SBC. Any other easy suspension improvements you might suggest would also be appreciated. Take care, Chris
Guest Big Phil
My front MSA strut bar fit over my LT1 with about an inche to spare. Your air cleaner may sit higher.
Guest ckmoss01
Phil: Assuming it clears the top, is the improvement in handling worth the price? Thanks, C
Guest 77vegasz
Since you are using the JTR set back mounts, the MSA strut bar will actually cross the engine about 4 or 5 inches infront of the carb. I have a high rise intake, so I use an Edlebrock Proflo air cleaner with no issues at all. I had a 14" air cleaner that cleared the bar, but not the hood.
