ecp48
All set to install, late maxima brackets, 300ZX rotors, 240SX Calipers ?? with Ross's KVR pads and steel braided hoses. I started looking at the new rotors and then the brackets and realized the rotors were way to big for the bracket and caliper. Does anyone know if the 240SX caliper and mounting bracket are casting #k36 & K37. Does the 240SX Caliper sit higher on the bracket than the 280ZX caliper, thus allowing the larger rotor? Calipers were sold to me as 240SX, but I'm questioning now, due to the rotor size issue. I would think there is a major benefit in leverage/braking in using the larger rotor. z-ya
As far as I know, you can't use the Maxima brakets with 240SX calipers. You need to uses 280ZX calipers with those brakets. You need to buy the custom 240SX brackets from Ross to use the 240SX calipers. Pete
ecp48
Pete, Either caliper works. That wasn't the question, though. I had somehow gotten the the impression that the 300Zx four bolt Rotor would work with the 240SX calipers on the Maxima brackets. However, according to an email from Ross Corrigan, you need the aftermarket brackets to use the larger rotor, other wise you must use the ZX or maxima rotor. Guest battg8r
I got the brackets and rotors from Ross C. It is a perfect fit with the 240sx calipers.
