Guest gtmattz
Well, I finally got some time to mess with my 'new' 75 280. Didnt have a fuel pump back at the tank when i started, took the one off my other 75 parts car, checked it to make sure it pumps well (seems to pump fine, did not check pressure as i do not have the tools to do so at the time). Connected it all in properly and have very weak fuel flow from the fuel filter.. the car was full of really old nasty gas, so I am assuming that the fuel lines are plugged with goo of some sort, I am planning on disconnecting the fuel lines (feed and return) at both ends and blowing through them with the air compressor. I hope this will cure the problem.. Do I need to address the fuel damper? could that thing be plugged up as well? <edit> ok, looks like i have some bad blockage so here is what i am going to do, let me know if you see something that i am missing: drop the tank and clean it flush out the fuel feed/return lines pull the fuel rail and clean it out clean the injectors new fuel filter not sure what to do with the little damper, ill blow it out at the very least.
