Guest Aaron
Progress has been made on my shop. See my previous post. When I last updated, the framers had put up the walls on August 5. They finished that over the next two days, and I had the roof put on within a month or so. In November, I installed the 9'x10' roll up doors and the shop walk through door. In December/January, I installed a dry well drainage system to catch the run of from my floor drain and sink. In February I had it tied into my home security system. I was planning on installing the vinyl siding myself, but I just did not seem to have enough time in the day, so I ended up hiring someone to do that for me. They worked about three weekend days (they kind of squeezed me in around some other jobs), and I am very happy with the results. They also helped me out by installing the attic door for me (about 20 feet off the ground) for which I was VERY grateful. This weekend I am planning to pour a 4'x4' concrete pad in front of the walk in door, and it will also serve as the ground landing for the steps up to the attic. My wife and I have some off time planned the first two weekends in May to build the steps to the attic. She is looking very forward to having some storage space. At that point, I will start working on the wiring.
