Guest QIK 71Z
I'm just finishing a new motor that will be using a Procharger super charger with a Holley DP carb. My current fuel system uses a Mallory fuel pump with a standard Holley regulator (non-return style) set a 7psi. This system is not adequate for a supercharged application because under boost the engine will require as much as 18psi of fuel pressure. I will be using an Aeromotive pump and boost-referenced regulator that will provide more than adequate pressure and volume however, this pump must be used with a return-style system. Is anyone using a return style fuel system with the stock fuel tank ? or should I just install a fuel cell. The small vapor line on my tank doesn't appear to be large enough to use for the return line due to the amount of fuel that will be flowing. Anyone know of any links to pics so that i can get some ideas on fuel line routing and regulator positioning. I know that the regulator must go on the return line and not on the feed line like a conventional setup. Any help will be appreciated
Guest gtmattz
im not 100% sure here, but I think the tank from the 75 280 with fuel injection will bolt into a 240, and it is already plumbed for the return, not sure if the pickup is large enough diameter for your application, but you can also use the drain plug in the tank as a pickup, just make a fitting that you can screw into the plug. that is what i would do if i was on a budget, if i had the cash and means, I would do a fuel cel.
