Guest zfan
I have run a built 700r4 for the last 3 years. The tranny has been rebuilt once and I have run 3 different stall converters on her. The problem I seem to have is that when out of gear I am running 1100 rpm's but when in gear I run only 650 to 750 rpm's. That seems like a drastic drop in rpm's and as well effects my engine vacumm big time! This has always been the case, three of my friends also drive Hybrid types with 700r4's and different converters and only lose maybe 200 rpm's max when going from out of gear to in gear. Does anyone have any idea's why and why the others do not. This plays hell with carburator power valve selections I am no tranny expert so I thought I would post here and see If I got any idea's. Thanks Mike
