Guest iskone Posted May 17, 2004 Share Posted May 17, 2004 I've been having trasmission problems detailed here http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=33977 I was out in the parking lot looking at my tranny to see how much work it will be to drop it, When I saw somthing that has me worried. On the driver side bellhousing there seems to be a bolt hole that doesn't line up with any thing on the engine it is located at about 11 o' clock when veiwing it from the drivers seat. And another one on the passenger side right above the starter. I pulled the numbers from the top of the tranny and they are 7y34156 I have a 78 280Z with a five speed made in 11/77 Are those extra bolts soppuse to be there? Where can I find transmission number codes? I've been searching on the net and the numbers I got aren't even close to anything I've seen, I may be looking in the wrong place? Thanks in advance.
