Guest kc6wfs
Well this is a big bummer, But the time has come for me to depart with my 73 240Z I spent so much time on. Work has been slower than I expected when moving out here and then I messed up my neck at work. It's been months since I've had a paycheck.. Thank god my wife works. I doubt workmans comp will pay me a dime, at least it's looking that way. 2 months now. Anyhow, Here is the link for my Z, it's going to you guys 1st, than ebay. I will drive it to Southern CA if one of you want it. I do need to sell it fast. http://hybridz.org/nuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=zClassifieds&file=detail&cat=52&de=392 I will build another when I get everything worked out. Call me if you need any info on the car. 623 907-5424 Thanks, Dave
Guest bastaad525
GAWWWWWWWWWWD why didn't I just hold onto my money!!!! See now this is another reason I wish I would have just let my car GO... Already been offered $4500... and that was when the head gasket was blown!! Add another $500 and bam a nice V8 automatic speed demon like this..... *sigh* I envy whomever picks this car up..... dont suppose any of you better off members would loan me $4500 with my 240 turbo as collateral, to be paid back upon sale?? I can dream can't I? At least I can take consolence in knowing that my motor in it's current state isn't that far behind his in torque and hp on the dyno.... how the heck'd you manage a 13.3??? very nice.... mine is a bit lighter at 2320 lbs so I'd think I'd be able to pull a low 13 as well? EDIT: ROFL you took it to SWAT performance?? I dynoed my car there when I had the 2.9L with SU's... really cool guys... I heard they've closed up shop quite some time ago?? Well that explains the 13.3... their dyno always gives very conservative (read: low) numbers, compared to the more popular dynojet. How'd you end up going to swat all the way from arizona?? How'd you end up going to swat all the way from arizona??" Up till 2 years ago I lived in Santa Clarita Valley. Ya I always thought SWAT was a tad low on the HP at the rears. But they were nice guys. The 13.3 was at LACR in palmdale on a 100 deg day. Since then I put the Haltec O2 meter on and re-jetted the Holley 600DP and it's a ton better here in AZ. But i have not taken it the the track yet. It's got to be in the 12's now, if it hooks off the line. Also got new 15/60/245's on the rears. Who ever gets it, even if they part it out for there conversion will make a killing off of it since i have spent over $8K alone for the conversion. Oh well. Guest bastaad525
man I would SO snatch that car up if I could bro, trust me. I'm showing pics to my wife a lot yesterday with that puppy dog look in my eyes... she's usually good about coming up with large amounts of cash seemingly from nowhere if we really need it, but this time it's a no-go. I think the guy at SWAT said his mustang dyno typically showed numbers about 5-10% less than a dynojet... I think. I do remember he said it was consistently less, and having run that time at palmdale definately says more than 200 hp to me, but the mph sounds just about right for that hp... 13.3 and 101mph sounds like a really good launch, good traction, good driving, or combination of the three.
