Guest Taedium
Hi everyone, I have a question about getting some heat into my recent 240Z/350 sbc hybrid I recently bought. At the moment there is no heat or defrost and it appears that the guy who did the conversion did not bother with any sort of heater or for that matter rear defrost which he used the button to arm the nitrous. I'm about to tear into the dash this weekend and am wonding if i am going to run into any problems. I have a extra heater core in case the dash has none at all but I need to buy some hose to make the trip through the fire wall and whatever hardware to match it to the 350. My question is if I will need anything special to make the two compatable? Someone metioned to me that the 350 might put out more pressure then the stock Z core is good for, is this true? Is there anything else I should know before I start? On a completly different note could someone tell me how to identify the specific 350 I have, what its out of ect. Its carbed, Along with that how does one identify what rear end the car has, The guy I got it from said it was a 260z rear end but that didnt make much sense to me why they would have put a 260Z rear in a 240, I didnt think that they made them any stronger until the 280? Anyway either the U joint or the whole rear is going to be needing replacement soon it feels like so I am going to go to the the r200(?) 280 rear with LSD which seems to be the better choice for under 350hp applications am I right? was the 280ZX the only Z with this rear? anyspecific years better or not? Anyway, sorry for the barrage of questions, You guys seem like you know your stuff and might give a newbie some answers, Thanks, John
Guest Anonymous
Engine # and locations(moretec.com) web page diff comparison web page Your heater hose(s) should be no problem unles all hardware was ripped out on the inside. You should not have to remove the dash if the valve. controls and heater is intact.R-edit moretec.com is coming up as unavailable/domain space for sale(pop up)/Korean text9popup)/penis enlargement(popup)
