Guest 4.3L 280z
I have a 75 280z and I completed the swap and finally trying to get it running. first off I don't know what happened to the neutral safety switch. I guess they were coming through the firewall and going to the tranny and must of cut them now I don't know which ones they are. Also I have my positive wire going to the seloinoid, I have to have the white wire going to the large terminal on starter Sel. but which white wire? there are many thick ones. and is the black-yellow wire only used to provide power to fuel pump during cranking? I need to get this done by the end of this week. Thanks, Nathan
Guest 305240
At this point a test light and an OHM meter/continuity checker are going to be your best friend. Do the ohm meter/continuity stuff with the battery disconnected. I believe you can bypass the neutral safety switch. I may be wrong on this tho. The Z cars have way too many wires for me, that's why I removed all of it and starting over with all new wires.
Guest 4.3L 280z
already did that. I was either going to bypass it or hook it to my ratchet shifter since its already got one built on it. I was just wandering which wires they are. The chiltons or haynes manuals don't seem to be accurate maybe someone has mest with the wiring or all this beer I'm drinking while I'm messing with the car
