Guest Anonymous
I can really apreciate the pictures beacause it is very difficult to change from mechanic/fabricator to photographer.. What is the brand name on those wheels on the project. They come close to replicating the look of the early Halibrands on the 427 Cobra and Ford GT

I don't know exactly what the wheels are. The guy I bought the car from didn't have the original wheels. I had intended to get rid of them, but I might change my mind on that yet. The inserts in 3 of them say "Ultra" and the 4th says "Vision".

Guest Darthmentos
Steve and I was going to put the clutch and transmission together today. But our only off day decided to make freezing cold rain non stop. Nothing we can do right now in terms of getting stuff closer together. we might put the clutch together indoors. Since no one will have the aggravating clutch issues that we've already faced, we probably won't post any pics of that, everyones seen a clutch before. we'll take pics anyway for the website.if we ever build it. Guest Darthmentos
Youre right whoever said the V6 clutch wouldnt work.It doesnt. Had to go get the right v8 type clutch. Throwout bearing too short. This was a minor problem and easily corrected. Put the trans on and checked all gears for engage - disengage clutch, just out of habit. Reverse does not work.So I went to talk to Bullit at the salvage yard. He went nuclear, because he traded under the impression that the transmission was good. Long story short , we told him we'd return the transmission and trade +cash for the 26 spline V8 that most folks believe is stronger. This would also make the throwout bearing work. R-hole being bad actually turned out as a blessing.
