Auto dome/footwell lights/delay dimmer off=non-functional

Hello,

this one's probably my fault, as I was poking around behind the passenger footwell light panel b/c I was trying to figure why my a/c-climate system had no power. I unplugged the two power clips which attach to the footwell light, looked at fuses for a bit, then tried to reconnect the footwell light clips, but I noticed there was a third one, unplugged. In my lack of electrical genius (i.e always shorting things!), I thought perhaps touching the two clips together would make the a/c work, but subsequently, only the L and R door "courtesy lights" come on, and they don't have a delay off feature, as does the overhead dome light. That o/h dome is receiving power when I manually switch it on, but the footwell lights aren't working at all....

1. Anyone got an idea of what I shorted out..my fear is I may have blown out the "delay relay", and I've no idea where that is, nor how to check it..please explain, the fuse for the interior light (in passenger right side kick panel fuse box) are fine.

2. Maybe it's simply I put the wrong wire in the R.footwell light plug clamp...but can someone tell me why there would be an extra one...could I be missing a double clamp-plug adaptor....I'm certain these lights were working fine prior to my "work".

Thanks

John
