Guest lazd
Hey guys, I've been reading on the forums and I was curious as to what is involved with turboing a L28 out of a 280Z. I might be picking up a 240Z with a L28 in it soon, and I'm looking for ways to pull nice times like I used to in my NA Z32 (14.476@94.8, street tires). I want to at least have the same performance level. Is it possible to attain this cheaply with a non-turbo L28? Is it common to turbo the L28 or L24 from older Z cars? I really have never delt with cars older than 1990, so I'm new to the old Z world. What's the most common/best method to tune air/fuel ratios on these older vehicles (EFI of course, I know the first thing about a carb and that's all)? Point me in the right direction. Thanks. ToplessZ
Yes it is possible but dont waste your time on the early block. Just buy a complete turbo motor and swap it in. With a couple small upgrades you will surpass those old z32 numbers of yours. As far as steering you in the right direction. My finger is aimed at the search function. Good luck
