Guest mescalinedreamz
i have about 350 to spend for a rebuild i want to have 10:1 compression and i have the following: p79 head valves blended work done. N47 head that i attempted to do port work on in 4,5,6 cyl by a rebello picture. No flow bench used. Running it right now in a n42 block with .50mm oversized dished pistons. Has real good low end but not that good mid and high range. Blowing smoke on decell and its not the valve stem seals, maybe guides. No smoke at start up. Prolly rings Have a n42 block thats bored to .50 being used but not for long Have a stock n47 block Have a stock zx F54 block Have a square port header-new Have a mild cam with 450 lift 292 intake 272 282 duration Have all gaskets except intake/exhaust,head,waterpump,valve cover, valve stem seals Should i just port the rest of the n47 out and keep filling up the whole intake runner with water and measure until they are all the same? and use that? All i messed with in the port is around the valve guide in the intakes. Im thinking of doing away with all the metal that surrounds the guide in all the intake ports. I seen that a place does it like that. I would really like to use the p79 shaved .80 but i dont think i can afford all that. I was going to using a z22 chain slack guide instead of shims since it would be cheaper. After reading some posts about the idea i figured that i want my engine to last more then 10,000 miles. I need a cheap place to buy rings and bearings the only place that i found so far that have moly rings is nebraskengines or without the s on the end .com

Guest bastaad525
I have had good luck getting most of my engine rebuilt parts cheap from Napa, and some from auto zone (auto zone mostly for felpro gaskets, napa for bearings and rings) and so far so good.
