Guest Phil1934
I recently found the dynamic compression calculator. I'm about to put together a 350 with KB 105 pistons and 76 cc heads for 9.7 CR. I'll use a Melling 22303 cam, 298*/304* on 112* separation with 107* intake. .050 IVC is 39*. This works out to 7.2 dyn. CR. It also agrees with cam man'f'rs recommendations of 9.5-10:1 for a cam with this duration. 91 octane is available around here (Atlanta 1000' elev.) and the last time I crossed the 10:1 line I had to pull out so much timing it ran bad and I ended up with water injection to get it back. So what is the experience with this formula? http://cochise.uia.net/pkelley2/DynamicCR.html
Guest Phil1934
I forgot to add how reliable is CR on a stock small block? I don't plan to deck. Engine is going in a '73 Z with 4 2 bbls and I hope Corvette exh. manifolds but I realize I may have to cut and extend the driver's side to clear the steering.
