Guest ON3GO
mods are.. 82 L28ET with over 200+K miles on it. Conquest FMIC Scottie-GNZ downpipe (no exhaust) JSK fuel rail and its running on the 77 280z ecu and harness. also on stock 5psi of boost. put down 165rwhp and 202lbs this was done in almost 92* weather, they also let my car stay running for abit, and also the fan for the dyno wasnt working very well. i know for a FACT i could have done way better considering my 2nd run i lost almost 20rwhp and 20lbs because of heat soak and no air really. but how good is 165rwhp and 202lbs on a pretty much bone stock L28ET? also fuel pressure was only at 40psi, so it was low. ill be installing my walbro 255 fuel pump, vortech fmu, msd 6-BTM, Msd blaster 2 coil, and full 3inch exhaust with a cutout this up coming week. with boost set way higher!!! so... how did i do? Pyro
Did the dyno guy measure your Air/Fuel ratio? 165 hp sounds right for 5 psi of boost. (5 + 14.7)/14.7 = 1.340 1.340 x 125 hp (stock L28 hp)= 167 hp. If you're running NA injectors you need more fuel pressure! Next time try 10 psi of boost and 60 psi fuel pressure on the fmu and you will make 210 at the wheels.
Guest ON3GO
no im running stock turbo injectors. im gonna run 55-60psi when in boost.. na our dyno at school doesnt measure a/f but i cant complain.. its free im sure with the boost levels im going for.. above 10psi and the mods ill be doing soon ill be over 200rwhp easy. and if im not happy with that a 100 shot will see its way on this car. mike
Guest ON3GO
also the power band is awesome! all the way from 2200rpms to 5000rpms torque was just FLAT! didnt start falling untill 5200rpms and it was still making 175lbs or so. Horsepower hit peak at 5200rpms but was making power all the way from 2600rpms, and both HP and Torque lines are nice and smooth. also i have some gremlins with my timing i think, not 100% sure but it hesitates abit before boost comes on so im sure i could have made power sooner also. mike
mobythevan
all the way from 2200rpms to 5000rpms torque was just FLAT! That is what I love, getting on it and it just pulls and pulls all the way through
