CruxGNZ
Cool! Looking good Jeff . Did you see what your old front suspension looks like now? My web page . The rear suspension is shown, but you get the idea. I like the layout of your new web page, good work. !M!
DavyZ
Yep, you guys just keep plugging away. Nice amount of progress you are making so far. I like the idea of the pirated suspension from the Vette--the width should make for a simply awesome handling car. Just keep up the good work and the updates!!! BTW, the website is making good progress as well! Davy
deMideon
Wow! Amazing amount of work you've done. You are about 30 minutes from me, any chance on getting a look at it sometime?
Jay1970Z
very impressive, should be a beast when your through with it!
Dan Juday
Great work. Talk about fun with sawzall! Can't wait to see more. Looks like you are going to need a little more width on the YZ fenders to tuck the wheels up. What's your plan? Just a suggestion: Your pics are too big to see the whole thing. Even with a nice big monitor like mine it's like looking at small sections of a huge road map. Slow load time with a modem and lots of scrolling. If you can resize them right you can still have the detail you want and make them viewable. Dan
Guest VETTETEK
Thanks again guys..i always appreciate the feedback. DEMIDION- please email me on the site link, and ill get you the info you need to come see the car. DAN - Good eyes on the reaer fenders...theyre just on ther in a temporary mode for now, so we could get the body positioned. we will be mounting them slightly diffrent for the clearances we need....when the time comes. I hear ya on the pic pics...im using IE6, and it autmatically resizes the pics, but gives me the option to blow them up for the detail...ill work on sizing them down though... -Jeff
ToplessZ
Hello jeff. That is some awesome work. I had plans to do a similar overhaul of my car. Im also using he yz fender flares and I am wondering on how you plan to mount or space them and get them to look right with the vette rear end. I also wondering if there are any other options to bring in the rear wheels such as backspacing mods etc. I am trying to avoid having the rear end shortened. Also wondering if you built that frame yourself or had it fabbed. Did you make any blueprints or spec sheets you would be willing to share with a fellow hybrider. I would like to hear some costs of your project as I will be doing alot of the same except maybe a mustang II type IFS. May be running a caddy 500 Big block also so I need this kind of strength. Hope to hear back from you soon. Awesome work and website. Mucho kudos.
CruxGNZ
ToplessZ, Look here and also look at his web site . The frame was made by Art Morrison. I got to see his car personaly and the work is top notch. !M!
Guest VETTETEK
Hey Matt! thanks for the props! Yah Jared, the frame does have blueprints...they were $5000 and the frame was free.....just kidding. I called Art Morrison chassis and spoke with Paul, and told him all my specs from track to wheelbase to ride hight(among others). The fenders will need to be "set out from the existing body a touch....about an inch per side to get better clearances. The front is fine. The YZ kit is a decent kit. But it IS a race car body, and there are some inconsistancies with it from side to side...but nothing we cant live with! Im hoping to get back on the car soon. I did recieve your email Jared...in the future, please use the link on my page...I check that regulary now. Jeff
