Alright Im new to this site so dont jump all over my ass if this has already been talked about. Lately Ive been lookin all over the web for converions for a 1990 300zx. Im wantin to swap a 350 into it but cant find any sites that show anything about it. The only sites I ever find only talk about older model z's. So if anyone can be any help it would be greatly apreciated.

Kenny go to the Chevy V8 Tech Board to the date December 10,2002 and click on a thread by Darthmentos about staerting a 300 zx project. This will get you about as close as possible. Also we are not in the habit of jumping on people for failing to use the search function but I really do not like the use of profanity in the hail.gif written english language which I consider to be a sacred tool of communication. Spoken profanity does not bother me.

We mounted the engine in the car today. (5.7L Import). The stock oil pan is too long, so we planned to use a Corvette pan. That pan is too wide to fit between the suspension. We ended up using an F-body pan, but cut back into the firewall 2" and lowered the engine 2". The tranny tunnel needed to be widened, so we're going to cut it out and weld a new sheet metal tunnel for it. Shifter position with the set back engine is perfect. Anyway, it seems that the final mounting of the engine will leave literally 5" vertically to the stock hood and more than enough room in front of the engine for...nm I'll leave that part to Vann (5.7L Import) ;)
