Hey guys do you think this will help me accuratly tune my a/f ratio. And is it compatible with the standard l28et afm It looked like it was pretty much universal and a good product in theory. I just bought one pretty cheap so I wanted to try and see. I can probably put it back on ebay for more than I payed so no worries. Any input here is the info link to the apexi site

http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp

I am shooting to smoothly run 370cc injectors and get as close to 300 rwhp as possible. I know there are a few ways to do it. I just wanted to try something new.

Let us know how it goes. I for one am very curious how universal those are. My friend was thinking about getting one but because of the price, he was unsure if the results would be worth it. Good luck.

Do a search specifically in the turbo forum... I had asked this very same question a few months back, apparently one member did believe the S-AFC could be used with the '81-83 ZX-ZXT ECU/AFM setup, Yo2001 I think, he was using one for a while and new the few little things you had to do to get it to work. I think he also felt though the unit did work, it really wasn't worth the money/effort. That thread is defiantely worth looking up.

Did any one ever find out? Someone I know is selling an Apexi safc for $200 and I'm thinking about picking it up. Then using it with my 280zxt swap in my 76 280z.

No. Doesn't work. Not at least with out some serious work. Friend of mine tried to get his SAFC (1st gen) working for a month. It would not work.

An SAFC is just a bandaid anyway. It just tricks the ecu, and it's not the best thing for you.
