New 240Z owner. Have questions! (Narrowing, engine & Tr

Hello, I just picked up a 240Z, it has a newly rebuilt 283 Corvette engine & 2 Speed transmission in it. I plan on taking these out and putting in my 350 & trans in it. One of my questions is, does anyone have any rough idea of what the value of these are?

 

My other question is, I would like to tub & narrow the rear end. Does anyone know of a shop (anywhere from Portland, Oregon to LA) that would take care of such a thing? Ideally Portland, Or to Sacramento would be ideal, but I'd travel the distance.

 

My goal with this car is to turn it into a street legal drag car...Any opinions, suggestions would be very helpful.

Try Chris Alstons Chassisworks in Sacramento. They have done back halfed Z's and full tube chassis Z's. If you are going to drag race it you may want to keep that glide. With drag racing, a good old 2 speed glide is the way to go.
