what can i afford?

what can i afford to swap my z with its 1981

im considerin a friends offer with a skyline motor

twin turbo/trans/diffs/electronics/reprogramableECUw/softwares/wireharnesses...for $5,000...

 

im not sure if they have chevy motors that has over 400hp... for this amount...im not really familiar with american motors/recent hobby was rebuilding flat6/inline6/for porsche's..last car

rebuilt was 83'carrera sc... rebuilt flat6/turbo

now i fell inlove with this z i saw outside the junk yard it caught my eye have this project that i really want to complete....

 

i want to build a really fast z that will be eye candy and record breaker @ any show... but try not to hurt my pockets... even tho i have four pockets doesnt mean i have money in all four...

u know what i mean

Last I checked there were a couple of Chevy motors that crested the 400 hp mark. Use the search function in this forum to read posts with urls-a-plenty for different engine shops. You pick the horsepower that fits your budget.
