TimZ
Just found this: http://www.crank-scrapers.com/products/Datsun%20-%20Nissan.html Anybody tried them? I've always wanted to try a crank scraper, and for $50, I figure it's worth a shot... Not expecting any miracles, but it seems "directionally correct"... katman
We did a back-to-back on an ITS prepped L24 and actually gained 2 hp when we removed the scraper (engine dyno). There were a few reasons why we thought the test did opposite of what we expected, but bottom line is you're not going to feel the difference anyway. To be effective it needs to be about 0.040-0.060 from all the rotating parts, and stiff enough not to bend. A big PITA that only makes sense for competition. jgkurz
TimZ, I'm looking into these scrappers, but I also am considering either the Arizonazcar oil pan or the Nissan Comp pan. The Nissan Comp pan comes with a windage tray. I'm thinking the scrapper and the Nissan Comp pan together would be redundant. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=99996-E1131&Category_Code=s30_nismo_oilpan
