Guest Fred P
Hi list, I'm disassembling my hybrid for renewal. I pulled out my radiator and it looks like new and so does the electric fan. These are parts that I wasn't planning on replacing. In fact I was told the radiator was heavy duty and all set for the 350 chevy along with the electric fan. Anyway I realized there are no cooling lines for the Th 350 tranny(which is what came in the car). Am i mistaken or is this a problem? Is there a work around for this or should I include another radiator on my list of parts to acquire? It would be a shame because the one I got is in excellent shape? Thanks Fred http://members.cox.net/z-mobile/
Guest Anonymous
Hi I believe that you can purchase a separate tranny cooler that would bolt in front of your radiator. Charlie B. 75 Z8
Guest Lee Smith
I have a 79 F350 4x4 AT for my Horse. I only put about 1,000 miles on it a year, if that many. It needed a different rad 2yr ago. I had on hand 1 with no cooling tube for the AT. I plumbed the AT lines to the AC condensing coil. The coil gets warm, but not as hot as the rad under heavy loads, max power needed. Befor I did this, I tryed a 6x10 axul cooler, that people add to cars for toeing a trailer. It got hot running empty, no load behind, but pushing it, many stops & starts in 10 min. A smaller coil may work for you. You probably won't stress the AT as much as I do the 4x4's AT.
