EZDUZIT
My brother and I were pondering the other day about building a Track only Drag car out of a 88 300ZX body we have. I already have a Ford 8.8 limited slip rear that we could use. My question is do you guys think it would hurt to mount this rear end solid? Meaning no suspension on the rear, just get the ride height where we want it and weld it in. We could use the front suspension to lift very easily for weight transfer and big tires out back to absorb the launch. This is a car we have been wanting to do somthing with for a while now. Let me know what you guys think, I'm curious about this.

Mike kZ
I know that used to be done back in the '50s for drag racing, but I don't think anyone does it anymore. Why I'm not sure, but I bet it has to do with todays advance suspension technology.
