jhaag
On Friday I visited Ben at his house in a Denver suburb and I was mightily impressed. He has about a 3-4 car garage filled with treats! Besides the twin turbo Z under construction, there was a frame for a 7-type car leaning against the wall, a Hayabusa bike engine on the floor, a shifter cart in another corner and piles and piles of tools and parts. I joked with his wife that she should call me when Ben wasn't around and I'd bring my trailer and load up all the things he no longer 'needs' - all in the spirit of public service, mind you! . He has a Cobra kit roller at another location. Ben, you have a very nice set up and your Z is soooo close to being done. Visiting him was the highly of the week (heck, the highlight of the month). silicone boy
My wife would probably pay people to cart parts away. In fact, she forced me at gunpoint to give someone on HybridZ some stainless steel headers for free! About a year ago, I had my first car I ever owned stolen from the parking lot at her dad's office (I was storing it there). It was a Rabbit GTI that I got after high school graduation 20 years ago and I tricked it out over the years. I loved that thing and I called it a classic landmark car, kinda like the prequel to the new MINI. My wife thought it was a piece of junk. I swear she had something to do with its disappearance, but she denied it. Anyway, I was so broken up over that that she let me get a $6000 3rd Gen RX7 off of EBAY--a little body work needed but a major score and I saved it from the junkyard By the way, John has a super clean ZX conversion that served as the prototype for Motorsport Auto's conversion kit. It sounds awesome and is a lot faster than my Twin Turbo 280 (if only because mine is on jackstands)
