Trevor
I was at the local "salvage" store lunch time yesterday and as usual, walking down the toys aisles looking at no-name-brand (not Maisto) 1:18 scale diecast cars. They have the oddball stuff that doesn;t sell at Wal-Mart, I guess. They had several Porsche 911s, '84 Fiero, '80s VW Rabbit convertible....Chevy Caprice police cruiser, etc. The level of detail is pretty amazing, last summer I bought a Lamborghini Countach and an Aston Martin DB-5 there. Anyways, yesterday I was thinking about buying the green '68 Camaro convertible - had to think it over, my collection is mostly European marques and Mustangs - and I came across a '03 350Z, Sunset Orange. Cool. Then further into the "pile" I see a '70 240Z, British Racing Green. Too cool. 2 generations of mini Zs amongst the retail cast-offs. Guest bastaad525
Hey I dunno if anyone'd be interested, but Glen and Upgrade Motoring had this very cool set from japan, of die cast Z's (regular Hot Wheels size)... 2 each of every major body style change from S30 up to Z33 (5 types). For anyone not local I'm betting you might find that same set on ebay or something. A very cool collectible but it was a bit pricey I think about $100 I forget. Glen also has lots of other Z stuff including various sizes of R/C Z cars (lots of 240's), even the little tiny R/C's that were all the rage last year came with a 240 body shell in Japan.
