That is the pressure that is being forced into the cylinders aftter having been through intercooler and piping whatnot....... 1 or 2 extra psi at the turbo is not gonna kill it... and if it does, it was time for a new bigger turbo anyway hehehe I think holding the boost you want right through the rev range is what you should be after.... so go the manifold!
