Guest Mizugori
its an 83 280zx non turbo, with the stock motor still in and running fine. but i want more speed without spending a ton just yet. i read this suggestion on another forum, although he was addressing someone with a 280 that had no engine at all: "Using the small block Chevy is a relatively common upgrade, as it weighs the same as the I6, but sits farther back and lower, for much better weight distribution and handling, and considerably more power for very little money." is that a good idea? someone else suggested that a ford engine would fit even better, and i might have trouble shutting the hood with that chevy trick. how much money am i looking at either way, and how much can i probably sell the current engine for? how much horsepower would the chevy or ford have? Guest Mizugori
also sorry if this is in the wrong area. im very new and i don't totally understand what each of the thread categories are for, but the current engine is a v6 so i figured this category would be a good start
