can't get the motor to start (the fun begins, stock 73' Z)

Alright, got out and did a refresh on my dads Z tonight, and while were starting what will be the 1st of many technical posts, i'll ask opinion on this too... this Z is now technically mine, i inherited it officially this christmas from my aunt who it was left too in his will. So when reffering to the Z, should i refer to it as my Z, even though i think of it as my deceased fathers? Anyway, thats just somthing to ponder over. Heres the tech side of things...

Today consisted of:

1. Drain any/all old fluids, found there was oil in the block still, 20 yr old oil = :-(...

2. Add new fluids, including: Radiator fluid, flushed block w/ 2 quarts of clean 10w30, then closed off the drain and added another 5 & 1/2qts of 10w30, added 2.5gals of 93 oct pump gas to the assumed bone dry gas tank, added 1/2 container of seafoam to the gastank, ran carb cleaner through the open butterflys on the SU carbs, added new battery (not fluids i realize, but it was needed)

3. With fluids replenshed, the fun begins, i start feeling my way through the car, everything appears to be in somewhat decent shape, i notice the leads from what i am assuming is the coolant temp probe are cut. I try to figure out wtf my father was doing w/ the wiring around the steering column (lots of custom stuff) turns out the cars been wired w/ the headlight switch on it's own 2 position toggle switch independant of the righthand stick selector, why he did this, i'm unsure. The "key solenoid" for starting the car, doesn't seem like a key solenoid at all, it is a metal solenoid housing like any other, but it has a plastic innerpiece as opposed to a key receptacle, so that you can start the car w/ a flathead or anything of that nature, once again, what he was doing here, i'll be damned if i know.

4. With all this figured out, came time to start it, i figured she'd be a little stubborn to get running, so my friend stood by w/ a can of starter fluid on hand ready to give it a little "extra" we click the "key" (read craftsman flathead) over and the motor starts turning over... and thats all it does.

5. Diagnosis time starts, we decided to go spark route 1st, we start testing components, @ 1st no spark, swap on a known good coil, still no spark, check wires, good connections, thus no brakes, so thats not it. Those squared away we dive into the dizzy, we find the "breaker" to be kinda gay from sitting around all those years, so we rough the terminals up w/ some sand paper and clean everything, test again w/ the cap off, we see the breaker making spark, cool... got spark now.

6. Put everything back together, go to start, starter fluid ready to rock, crank it over, she sounds like she wants to start now, so were assuming the spark was present, but she still wouldn't go... so now were guessing its fuel...

Which leads us to the question of the day:

This 73's fuel system is mechanicle if i'm remembering right, somthing i'm not familiar with. So what would a logical diagnosis process be for this car? Cause i'd like to get her running by tommorow evening, even if it's just idling.
