jtpaintballwdp
I want to try to get 350whp out of my 280zxt. I was planing to rebuild the whole thing soon and was wondering if forged is worth it for these numbers. I have herd of ppl getting that much on stock internals...but is that safe? it has to degrade reliability. Any input would be gerat. Thanks, Kyle
Guest JAMIE T
ZXT engines are very well built in stock form. They are under rated, and under boosted in stock form. You need to do the following in this order... Mandrel bent 2.5" down pipe into 3" exhaust with a straight thru muffler at the end. boost controller intercooler and piping(add a BOV at this time) injectors rising rate FPR t3/t4 turbo. I'm probably missing something as I'm not an L6 guy per say. I've dabled in turbo L6's a little. This same stuff has been done here 100's of times and can net 12 sec et's in the quarter.
