Guest TAlchemist
I know this has been bashed into the ground and everyone will just say search for it but here is my question. I found a decent set of tires by Eagle Tires that looks nice enough and is not too expensive ($90-100 / rim) that has15x7 with 0 offset and 4" backspacing. with 4x114.3 bolt pattern. Will this fit on a stock suspension/stock fender 78 280z? i did a search and it seems this would fit so i was curious to get a second opinion. and i think this is the tire info http://www.eaglewheels.com/028.htm

ww
I found a decent set of tires by Eagle Tires that looks nice enough and is not too expensive ($90-100 / rim) that has15x7 with 0 offset and 4" backspacing. with 4x114.3 bolt pattern. You might want to do 215's in the front just to make sure the tire bulge clears the strut tower on the fronts. If they clear it with enough room to spare, then you can go up to 225's on the next purchase. I'm running 16x7's with 225/45/16's on the front and 16x8's with 245/45/16's on the rear and they clear. It's close, but it clears from lock to lock. If I ever get around to doing coil-overs I'll be able to go 16x8's on the front as well. Of course, I'll just want to go to 16x9's on the rear... It never ends...
jt1
15 x 7 w/4" backspacing will work just fine. You may have to roll the fender lips a little with 225's, with 215's everything should bolt right on. John
