Guest Anonymous
Hi everyone, I am a newbie with a passion for teh z car. back in high school a buddy had two 260's and they were great. Now I can afford to get one myself and I am Really having a hard time finding a 70's Z car here in Alberta. There seems to be a lot of early 80' 280 s. if I cant find a 70"s what would be your best suggestion as to what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Guest Anonymous
In your area try calgary z club (newzletter on line and email) or if you are in the edmonton area try ed z club(again online) or a little garage called sumaro's (i think that is how he spellls it ) alot of older cars there I had a 78 for sale 3-4 months ago But as Pete has said (have you visited his site yet?) with all the rust work he had done he probably would have been better getting the car from Cal. or Ar. price it out before you buy Z in this climate just don't last
Mike kZ
First off, Welcome!! If you really want a '70s car keep looking. There are several Canadian guys here who have one, so they are around. Or you could check the sale section for a California or Arizona rust free car.
Guest Anonymous
Thanks for the heads up. I am in Calgary, and I will check out thos eclubs you mentioned. I saw a 74 260 last year for 600, wish I had jumped on it. Oh well I really want a 280 anyways. Might even look harder for a turbo Z after everything I have been reading Thanks for your help. Guest Anonymous
Hey Scca Thanks for the offer, I was thinking of something that hasnt been touched yet. I have many friends that have doen project muscles, and even a 70 911, so I was hoping to join that group starting with a headache and finishing with a adrenaline rush. I just found a 79 280Z that is complete but not running , they want $1950 canadian for it , is that toomuch? any thoughts
GrayZee
I have a 75 280z here in Winnipeg, it hasn't been restored but it is a good candidate. Not much rust at all for a Z. The car is complete and runs, I'll let it go for $1800
