On a weekend house project trip to the hardware store, I was shocked to see that they (the state) has eliminated solvent based contact cement, leaving the waterbased crapola as your only chioce. Well that just sucks, I almost ruined a project becuase that water based junk just doesn't work the same.

 

Does anyone have a line on what the state (or feds)is going to take away from us next? Man, if laquer thinner is on the list, I'm going to invest in a 55 gal drum of that stuff. :mad:

Come live in Oregon. It seems like there aren't any enviromental laws here. There still aren't any emission laws (knock on wood) except in Portland. rockon.gif

And I thought they were just being nice! I was there a few years ago and they would not let me pump the gas--I told them to lay off and let me do it because I wasn't paying for 'full serve.' They thought I was either stupid or from out of state (either is believable) :D
