I would like to know if there is an AUTO trans shifter from an American car/transmission that would be close to the oem shifter on the 280Z? It wouldn't have to be an exact fit, but close enough, because I figure that you'd only have to adjust the length of the lever for the amount of movement (in degrees) that the Jatco trans uses to shift gears, and maybe a new gate plate (the side-thing with the notches). savageskaterkid Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 AWESOME, sum1 else is thinkin of the same thing i am.........when i move the gear selector it always seems that if i let go too quickly, the shift button will pop out. If there is another selector that would fit, that would b kickass-but i like the thing that they put in it-u know how it locks the shifter, so u don't accidently downshift.
