Guest tony78_280z
Grenade300 This question can be answered with a Haynes repair manual. Invest in a repair manuals. It'll save time and money.
Guest Grenade300
Thanks for the link Mike, that helped a lot. Tony, I bought a Chiltons manual, I also have the "How to restore your Datsun Z-Car" Neither told me where the fusible links were physically located in the car, so I have bought a couple of manuals. I will be ordering a Nissan 240Z shop manual also soon.
Guest 305240
They are mounted on the passengers side front strut tower. There should be covers over them. Them meaning 2. There are 2 fusable links in each box.
Guest Grenade300
Figured out why I couldn't find the fusible links. They have been removed! There are two holes in my strut tower where I can only assume the linkes used to be. There are no hanging wires. As far as the wiring harness goes, it looks like they were never there, there are no splices or cuts in the wiring harness where they could have been attached as far as I can tell. Guest Grenade300
There should be one coming right off your starter. Should be about a six inch section that is soldered directly into the wire hareness.
