Dizzy and rattle

I figure I'll try here first since it's an HEI type. But if I don't get no responses I'll repost in the ignition section.

I recently upgraded my Dizzy. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=98970 What I got installed is the Proform 50kV coil, module condensor, and no arc rotor in cap that all came with the same kit. I used the stock weight with the middle grade springs. It is timed right at 8. And idles and throttles real good. (Better than ever) I have yet to upgrade my plugs or wires though.

Occasionaly my Dizzy makes a rattle noise or like a real high speed tapping sound. It sounds like the rotor or some part there of it is grazing something as it spins. I took the cap off and I can't find any wear or rub marks and can't find anything in the way.

Is it possible that my high power coil is forcing the spark into the low power wires and causing this noise? Are my no Arc rotor and coil arcing anyway? Is it possible my engine ground isn't good enough? Do some rotors and caps just make a bit of racket as they spin?

I have no clue where your noise is coming from, but....back in my circle track days a friend and myself took our distributors to a well known engine builder who had a distributor dyno. It's a machine that shows your curve, scatter, bounce, voltage, etc. on a oscilloscope type screen. I was amazed at the noise the machine made with a dist in running, it sounded like a large sewing machine. I commented the machine was really loud, and the guy pulled the dist out. The machine itself was almost silent. I still don't understand where all the racket was coming from.
