Guest ZN00BI3
Hello everyone, this is my first post on Hybridz.org and im new at the whole z thing but I have had my 1982 280ZxT for over a year now and I am finally getting the time to start doing stuff to it. I am planning on fixing it enough so I can sell it but until then I am running into little problems. Today I took my t-tops off for the first time in a year (since ive had the car) and the aluminum part (the black piece on the edge) is corroded. I am guessing this problem is pretty common but I am wondering the "correct" way to go about fixing this problem without buying new ones. I am afraid of sanding it down due to the softness. If you have any information on this topic please feel free to share it. I will appreciate any help. Thanks, Matt
Guest Aaron
Are you referring to the piece at the edge of the T-top above the door glass? If so, I sanded mine with about 320 grit paper then primed and painted.
