Guest kc6wfs
Well yesterday I replaced the mallory dist and went with a new CSI Hi-po HEI dist. What a differance! Nice smooth idle! So I set the timing about 10 deg BTDC and lock it down. Told the wife was going to take it around the block. hehe I got on a nice straight section of our block and gunned it in 1st. Wow through me back in my seat!! When I got to 4k shifted with the B+M ratchet shifter into 2nd and again a very nice push back hard into the seat as the back end went way down!!. Was nice nothing rubbing with the 14/60/235's. WWWWAAAAAHHHOOOO.. That was a blast. I did not want to over do anything being all open after the collecters. But i'm still shaking.. MGD time now!!! After the 1st going to get the exhaust done. Any sugestions on good performance setup's?? I was thinking of 3stage flowmasters dumping just before the rear tires. What do you all think? Anyhow I wanted to thank EVERYONE for your help and suggestions. Without this group I would have messed this all up. The JTR conversion IS the best way to go! Tonight I'll have new pics of the SPAL fans and lots of new closeup's of the motor, ECT. Thanks. BLKMGK
Don't use turndowns if you can. The sound will echo from the pavement into the car - VERY loud! Turnouts maybe?
Guest Anonymous
Or slashcuts in front of the back tires like the AAR Cuda's. Ground clearance permitting of course... Lone
