Guest iskone
The cam I thought was a .620/306 is not. It has been reground at the momment I only had the lift checked .555in .546ex So of course I'm thinking that the duration has been changed and I want to have it verified. I'm right in thinking it will be no more than 306, correct. Since I already have a 296 & 278 from the same PO I'd assume it should be somewhere in between the 296 and 306. Most cams have more lift on the exhaust assuming it has the same duration intake and exhaust how would more intale lift effect the characteristics of the car? When I talk about getting specific numbers on my car such as head flow, piston dome, chamber volume, cam specs (lift, duration, LSA, ICA), spring rate etc... The 2 guys I have doing work on my 2 heads and cams keep questioning me. I'm I some sort of PITA for these guys? Don't all gearheads want to know all the specs are in thier powerplants? WTF!!!! I really don't think I'm being ridiculous asking them to check this or that. Do I go to far?? Well at least one of them thinks I can run the 296 on the street after looking at my cumbustion chambers.
