Guest zerpie1
I just did the toyota 4x4 caliper upgrade and found that the new calipers stick out slightly farther than stock. When bolted up, the wheels won't even turn because they hit the caliper. Any ideas?
Drax240z
You can usually grind the calipers a bit to clear... but use your own judgement as to whether you have to grind too much to be safe. The other option might be some 1/8" slip on wheel spacers which are sold in most autoparts stores.
waynekarnes
as suggested earlier, the fix is a wheel spacer ( check your studs, long enough ??? ), don't let someone sell you a spacer that is too thick. spacer is a disc fits between the wheel and the hub, moves the wheel outward. most people use a hand rasp ( file ) and clearance the caliper ... leave the caliper on the car, use the rasp, and then a file to smooth it ... you shouldn't have to remove much. do NOT grind on the wheel !!! but, you probably know that already ...
