Bigger brakes

I was working with my dad on his pathfinder last week and we were working on his brakes. We changed the front rotors and so we had to remove the brakes. It was then I noticed that the caliper mounting bolt holes look like the ones on my 300zx. I gave it a closer look and took some measurements and relized that the 89 awd pathfinder has the same rotor diameter as my 86 NA 300zx. The pathfinder rotrs are a few mm thicker and the hub bolt patterns are diferent but the diameter of the rotor and the location of the caliper bolts are the same. SO I ws wondering if anybody had ever tried to put pathfinder brakes on a 300zx? Performance wise they offer a larger claping area and since they are of a two piston design, the pressure is more evenly distributed through the rotor. More than likely this will reduce the life of the rotors but will give increased stopping power for more than stock z31's. They clear the rims and the only modification to adapt the calipers would be to shim it a few mm since the pathfinder rotors are thicker. I'm also not sure if the brake line is the same since I did'nt do a test fit because I didn't feel like bleeding brakes after. I'm swapping my vg30 for a sbc so this extra stopping power will help. They ever see cf pads for these calipers.
