Guest 1982280zxt Posted April 24, 2005 Share Posted April 24, 2005 Hey all, I bought a parts car that's a 1981 280zx Non turbo for a very good price. I have a 1982 280Zx Turbo and the tranny is starting to slip, only when u first start it. When it gets warmed up it runs like a charm through all the gears. Both of them are Automatics and the parts car seemed to drive decent through all the gears. (better than mine anyway) I was wondering if the transmissions were the same? mario_82_ZXT Posted April 24, 2005 Share Posted April 24, 2005 I am pretty sure they are the same tranny. My FSM lists only one Auto tranny for 82, if my memory serves me correctly, the 83 had an updated version of the same tranny, but it was the same on both the Turbo and NA cars.
