Guest ON3GO
Okay I bought a RCi 12 gallon plastic fuel cell for my blue Z. its only got a outlet fuel line and a breather line. I spoke to Tim240Z and he said i could just use a fitting like this and drill and wala have a return line inlet. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=3040&prmenbr=361 BUT since the line going to the engine is facing towards the rear of the car do i have to put the return line fitting there also? or could i put it going in facing the direction of the front of the car? mike
Guest 73Turbo240z
a really trick setup would be to add a tubing barb to the end of that fitting... then drill your hole, and using a coathanger or somthing of the like, measure out a rough guess of what length worth of extra hose you'd need to make the return line dump around the pump pickup... then you could have the return @ the front of the cell, but still dump the fuel internally on the cell near the fuel pump itself @ the rearward sump... make sense? either way the fuels going back to the tank, just a matter of where you dump it... randy 77zt
those rci fuel cells might not pass tech for any scca events.the atl cells(bucks but the real deal)are plumbed with an fittings for pressure and return.if you pull the sender cover you can drill a 5/16 or 3/8 hole in it and solder a piece of steel line there to put the return line on takes about 10 minutes.
