Adjusting the 240SX TPS

Is the 240SX TPS adjusted in the same manner as the 280ZX is?

 

I was trying to go about adjusting mine today on my car and cannot get a reading at all which seems really strange in itself, thinking possibly that the TPS might be bad.

 

Can anyone tell me how I would go about adjusting this TPS for use with my 280ZX turbo, and which two plugs that I should use in case I am using the wrong plugs with my set up currently.

There are two plugs on the 240sx tps. One if for the switch type (which you want on stock electronics) and the other is the pot type. It should adjust the same as the stock one.

 

I think you use the plugs on the case, not the ones on the pigtail.

 

You only need to use a pair of pins. It is the ones with continuity when the throttle is closed.

Yes that much I do know but is it set up like the 280ZX of sorts, meaning that well with the 280ZX's TPS, it only uses two of the plugs which would be the last two toward the firewall.

I don't get your post.

So did you figure it out?

 

What sucks about 240sx tps's is that most (if not all) are riveted together.

You should be able to adjust it to specs in the manual either with a feeler gauge or the rpm cut off point just like you would the factory one.
