Guest TAlchemist
ok well i have rebuilt the stock L28 from my 280z. But i cant get it to start due to wiring damage, my starter died, need a new slave clutch, and the coil or distributor may also be bad. My plan was to rebuild the stock engine and test the brakes and suspension before i sell the stock engine to by a 350, LT1 or regular. But since the stock needs more new parts and i already purchased a gasket set and other things would it be wiser to go ahead and sell my L28. If i could get 200 or so for it i could get a basic 350 block to begin tinkering with it. so what do you think, try and get the old L28 going or sell and get a 350 already. or a third option just ignore the engine for a while and get the brakes and suspension working. please help with some good advice. CruxGNZ
IMO, you need to be able to stop before you throw in some power. Also, you are asking this question on Hybridz, so subconsciencely (sp?)you knew which way we would lean towards . Hmmm... bigger engine possibly? !M! Guest TAlchemist
well its never run yet, and even if i get the 350 i have already rebuilt the calipers i just need to get my master cylinder rebuild kit and it should brake. i wanted the stock engine to get experience building things, i hope i am ready. i think i will look for the 350 now, fix the brakes, and try a few non money spending portion of engine fixing.
