Guest bastaad525
A very good article IMO. Three different Supra's making over 1000rwhp, and one making just under it. Three of them bonafide street driven, 11 second or better 1/4 mile monsters. Two of them look 99% stock from the outside. One of them daily driven with boost turned down to make only a measely 750+rwhp . Just thought I'd share
Jsquared
11s? haha, here comes the joke... "What's the similarity between a 500HP Supra and a 900HP Supra?" "They both run 12s" Anyway, I must have missed that, is it in the track-test-all-the-projects issue that recently came out?
Guest bastaad525
well, actually I was wrong, I'm going thru the article again right now. The 940hp one pulled a 10.1 at 147mph. Another of the two also pulled just over a 10 flat. The third ran a 9, and the drag car ran an 8. It is funny that as speeds go up, it takes so much more hp to go only a little faster. In my case, gaining roughly 70hp when I went from an N/A motor to a turbo motor, took me from a high 14 second car to a low 13-high 12 second car, in the same chassis with almost the same weight. 2 seconds shaved from 70hp. Whereas these guys have to pile on a couple hundred hp to shave half a second. Crazy. And no, it's in the issue AFTER the track test of the project cars, this issue just came in the mail today, and has the four supras on the cover.
