sjhafa
Just received my JTR radiator and mounts. My question is the upper mount sits about 1/2" above the core support. My hood is away being blasted and was wondering if Im going to have hood clearance issues (72 240)? Wanted to keep going with out waiting for the hood. I can put spacers on the lower mount to drop if necessary but hate to if its not needed. Thanks!
Here comes trouble
Wait for your hood unless someone has a definite answer for you............The Z's may look similar but there are slight differences during the years and 1/2 inch may make a big difference
dladow
I installed the JTR radiator set up on my '73 240z and had no clearance problems. Dave
sjhafa
dladow, did your upper mount stick above the core support or were they the same height?
innerware
Yes it does stick above and no, there is no clearance issues what so ever.
dladow
Yes, I took a look at it and the radiator does stick up above the core support as you describe and there are no clearance problems. The JTR radiator and brackets are a great kit - easy to install and very well fabricated. Dave
