randy 77zt
its been a long job because i updated alot of related systems .like dry cell battery install in the space behind passenger seat.fuel system rebuilt with walbro pump,3/8 line in stock location,gm fuel filter in back, aeroquip pushlok hose & fittings, new fuel rail for oring injectors,42 lbs lucas injectors.running a twm 60mm throttle body with ported manifold.the reason for all this is the stock engine will be out in 6 months for a stroker with a ported head and cam.still have to build intercooler tubes-its running on jack stands.i even had to build jack stands for this-spending hours under the car i needed some tall stands so i could work faster.i had to get some noise out of the car.the megasquirt is firing the oem zxt ignition transistor module-connected fidle to yellow wire at module.used a cherry hall effect sensor and cherry magnets in the flywheel ala xander.i will have to install the saab 9000 ic for awhile-the chinese 240sx ic needs some fab work and funds are tight right now since i have been unemployed.that electric bill for the a/c in the garage wont be cheap-but sometimes you have to get it done. mobythevan
What dwell settings are you running with the zxt ignitor?
randy 77zt
dwell is %50 -signal not inverted.the transisitor is a little hot.i was reading on the msefi site other people were using a fixed 2 to 4 millisecond dwell on bosch modules so i might try changing it to see how it runs .but the car is still on stands for ic tubing fabrication.i am running the output from the turbo under the engine and out the rh side.the goal on the install was to use the least amount of parts=more reliability.thanks for the map-i know alot about cars but have 10 thumbs on computor. mobythevan
You may want to try something like 6ms cranking dwell, 3-4ms running dwell Sounds like it is coming along nicely.
