Phyxius
It seems that what I thought was an injector problem may turn out to be a computer problem. Yesterday, the injectors were staying open after the engine stopped (key still on), flooding the motor. Today, with the motor off (key still on), the computer continously sends the spark signal at about 3 times a second. When i try to hook my laptop up to it in the car, it won't connect. I can hook the ms up to the stim board, and I can connect to it, and it seems to operate normally. My only thought is that there is something wrong with the relay board and associated wiring, but i can't find anything wrong... any thoughts or ideas? mobythevan
I hate that kind of stuff. My friend just found yesterday that his MAP sensor tubing was conducting electricity and shorting out some of the circuit to the MS case. His also failed on the stim board which makes it easier to troubleshoot. Sounds like the input to the tach trigger may be floating or miswired causing the continual triggers? Phyxius
That wouldn't explain the fact that it won't connect to my laptop in the car. I don't know what to think...all i know is that it's way too hot outside during the day to mess with it...lol
mario_82_ZXT
Something might be grounded causing a fault with the serial communications and other workings of MS. You probably have to check the sensors and wires individually since it checks out on the stim. Did you make your own harness? Check grommets or places where the wires might have gotten pinched or stretched. Good luck, Mario
Phyxius
should I be able to make rpm's go all the way to 0 with the stim board? I can only get it to go down to 87...
