Guest bastaad525 Posted August 25, 2005 Share Posted August 25, 2005 small update... well been driving it with the plugs gapped at .035 for a bit... I haven't gotten it to pop/tick like that again, though sometimes it still seems to surge for a brief second when boost hits... I think I'm feeling the boost spiking before it settles down. But no more ticks, and no more puffs of smoke. Additionally, the car seems to run happier when it's cold, probably because running so rich, and even more so when cold, man it was just tempremental as all heck before warmed up, and was very easy to coax into misfiring/backfiring/bucking and all kinds of other funny behavior. I also followed a bit of advice and tightened the AFM spring a couple teeth while simultaneosly richening up my RRFPR just a tad. If I keep feeling any stumble I may try for .030 and see if that cures it, if not I"m gonna assume it's just the boost spiking and then settling that I"m feeling and up the gap to .035-040 again.
